The Injury

Many of you know that Trina and I got into an accident. It was a small one, but the injuries I sustained were pretty big.

Basically, I fractured 3 metatarsals in my right foot and have wires sticking out of my foot now to keep the bones in place.

You can see the broken sections in the picture to the left.

I also got large wounds on my toe, below the toe, and cracked the nail of the pointer-finger-counterpart of the foot.

The doctor says it will take 2-3 months to heal. They will remove the wires around May 13 - 30 days after the surgery.

Why were our injuries this large though? We were ill-equipped. Although we were wearing helmets, we were riding in shorts and slippers. My right slipper had ripped and allowed direct contact of my foot with the pebbly road.

PAIN
I'm not taking pain killers but my foot's in constant numb-like pain. It's bearable but quite uncomfortable. This doesn't allow me to sit for long periods of time... so using the computer is a bit difficult.
